Fall Inspired Paint Colors for Any Home

Decor

August 16, 2022

The change in season from the outside often ignites a desire to adjust our interiors. While I love sourcing new furniture and decor, one simple and inexpensive way to make adjustments at home is paint. A new coat of rich green paired with gold and black accents or a terracotta accent wall as the backdrop for a neutral boucle sofa can elevate any room, especially for fall. I did a little digging at my favorite paint shops and curated a short list of Fall inspired paint colors for any home and I rounded them up below. Check out the colors I’m proposing to clients who are not shy about color, especially colors that are inspired by fall’s palette.

GREEN

I have been loving all over green lately and it’s beginning to show in my home as we tackle new projects. Green has a diverse palette of colors that range from calming tones to deep, rich shades that can soothe or dress up any room. Below are my favorite greens for the fall 2022 season.

LIGHT GREENS

MEDIUM GREENS

DARK GREENS

ORANGE

It isn’t Fall without dollops of the yellow and orange color family. The yellow-orange colors below can be used to create bold accents like interior doors and accent walls. The terracotta options are soft yet distinguished–consider using them to paint a room or to refinish wood furniture.

RED

Red is an essential part of the color wheel that is found in the most beautiful pockets of Fall. It is a striking interior color that can be soft and understated or deep and rich. Adorn the walls of a common area with red–like a theater room or a girl cave–or use it on your entryway door to make a statement from the outside.

DEEP REDS

Whether it’s paint or accents like window treatments, vases and florals, the Fall inspired paint colors I shared in this post can contribute to beautiful palettes that mimic the season.
